Goal
Direct the creative branding, website, and collateral designs for the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, an exclusive networking event with capital venture investors to link with game developers and fund the next big game.
Cohort teams in the program received mentorship with leaders in the gaming & tech industry such as the creator of Magic The Gathering and Wargaming's Co-Founder. It concluded with a Demo Day event including speakers such as the VP of Innovation Lab at Ubisoft and previous Art Director at Remedy Entertainment.

Branding & Website
Based on research of game conferences' art directions and discussions with the team, we decided on a retro futuristic tech style, reminiscent of Y2K.

The style guide included the program logo and specifications, as well as iconography, typography, and event logo for all collateral materials.
Research
Researched competitors in the space and created the guidelines and direction for the initial branding and logo.

I led the design and development of the program's website through WordPress.
Collaterals
My second year contributing to GDC, where I previously provided art direction for an AI powered game demo. During this project I led the design for print and digital collaterals for the venue, from merchandise and banners, to screen and digital projections.

Mockup designs of venue banners highlighting the teams and the game demo area.

Some of the printed banners displayed at the conference.

Digital screen designs for the stage and seated area.

Stage screen designs highlighting the speakers at the conference.
Merchandise
I designed and coordinated various assets with a printing agency for gift bags and exclusive event items for guests, investors, and teams.

Displayed are tote bags, water bottles, pens, and T-shirts with the event's logo.
Motion Graphics
Supported with the visual motion designs and video editing for media packages for YouTube.
I created motion graphics with the animation software After Effects.
